“It’s something exciting,” said Vicky Torres, whose family came from Colombia to watch the parade in person. “I always watch it on TV, so it’s like a dream.”

Over 5,000 volunteers walked in the parade, smiling and in good spirits despite the weather.

The parade featured 17 character balloons, including past favorites like SpongeBob SquarePants and Bluey, and some new faces, like Minnie Mouse.

It also featured 22 floats, including a creative Italian-themed pasta float called ‘Pasta Night.’

“It’s really fun,” said Kathleen Wright, Macy’s Director of Production Operations.

“It’s really whimsical. It’s unexpected. And I think everyone’s gonna really love when they see it down the parade route.”
