Billy Ray Cyrus celebrated his daughter Miley Cyrus‘ Grammy win with a social media tribute amid their ongoing family drama.
On Sunday, February 2, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter won a Grammy Award in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category for her song with Beyoncé, “II Most Wanted.” Billy Ray, 63, took to his Instagram on Sunday to honor his daughter’s third Grammy Award. (Miley won the Grammy for Record Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her song “Flowers” in 2024.)
The “Achy Breaky Heart” hitmaker posted a side-by-side photo of Miley and Beyoncé and expressed his admiration for the two women in the caption: “Congratulations @mileycyrus and @beyonce on their well-deserved @recordingacademyGrammy wins! 🎶 Couldn’t be prouder!!!❤️🎉 🎈.”

While the former Disney star did not comment on her dad’s post, she did give it a like.
Besides Miley, Billy Ray shares two biological children with his ex-wife Tish Cyrus: Braison, 30, and Noah, 25. Billy Ray adopted Tish’s children from her previous relationship, Brandi, 37, and Trace, 35, and he also has a son, Christopher, 32, from his relationship with Kristin Luckey.
The Cyrus family drama began after Billy Ray gave a highly criticized performance at one of President Trump’s inaugural balls earlier this month. Afterward, Trace posted an open letter to his father expressing concern for his well-being via Instagram. The former Metro Station band member wrote in part: “We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns. You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it.”
Then, on Saturday, January 25, Trace took to his Instagram again to share that his father threatened him with legal action, writing, “I will always love you, but I no longer respect you as a man.”
The next day, on Sunday, January 26, Billy Ray posted a YouTube Short of a clip from his 2010 music video — which featured Trace — for his song “Somebody Said A Prayer.” Billy Ray called for healing in the caption, writing, “Praying for my family. For my children … sons and daughters…and their mother. Let this moment be the start of healing ❤️🩹 for us all.”
