Hervé Léger Resort 2026: An Ongoing Evolution


From Day One at Hervé Léger, Michelle Ochs’ goal has been to expand beyond the legacy of the bandage dress. Now two years in, she is seeing “traction,” she said from her studio while looking through her resort collection. Hervé Léger’s legacy is long but it always comes back to the iconic dress, so Ochs evolved it by injecting new brand codes. “She’s living her life head to toe now,” she said, a good thing for a brand as it aims to broaden its appeal.

Resort sees Ochs continue to push daywear with sleek suiting and neoprene separates with a bit of a sporty edge. Dresses are still key, and she took a trompe l’oeil direction, mimicking the crossing effect of the bandage dress with a sprayed metallic print. It was still sexy but renewed. Another novelty she created was a grommet print, which gave a graphic edge to an asymmetric dress and turtleneck top.

Leather was back in hints, another fabrication to expand the conversation. “I really want to push the envelope with the type of things we could do, giving you something really special,” she said.

Resort has only just begun but the idea of making things “special” is bubbling up at a time when customers are leery about spending. To get someone to shop, you need to stand out and Ochs is on the case.

Accessories are still in the early stages, but jewelry is a growing category with sculptural earrings and cuffs. Ochs said the category has been doing well on Amazon Luxury Fashion. “It’s a new way for people to discover us,” she said.

Her resort offering continues on that path, creating new ways for customers to discover — or rediscover — the brand.
