Barry Blitt’s “The First Hundred Days”

President Donald J. Trump began his second term with a hundred-day blitz, as a way to both get revenge on his perceived foes and take the country in an autocratic direction. For the cover of May 5, 2025, issue, the cartoonist Barry Blitt focussed on the effect Trump’s actions have had on him and a sizable number of Americans. “It’s difficult getting through the first one hundred days of the President’s term,” Blitt said, “without dwelling on the fact that, after that, there still will be another 1,361 days and eleven hours and fifty-nine minutes. Approximately.”
