Donald Trump issues Ukraine warning to “smart” Putin

President Donald Trump has threatened further sanctions against Russia if Vladimir Putin did not agree to negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, it has been reported.
Trump said he was talking to Ukrainian president Volodymr Zelensky and that the U.S. president would have a conversation with the Russian president “very soon,” Reuters reported.
Trump said he had a “very strong understanding with Putin” and said that “he disrespects people”, adding, “he’s smart, he understands.”
