DALLAS Federal Reserve Bank President Lorie Logan said on Tuesday she expects it will take until the fall to understand the effect of tariffs on inflation, in part because companies are waiting until they know what the level of tariffs will be before they pass the extra costs onto consumers.
“We’ll be looking at the data over the course of the summer and into the fall before we really have a good read on how they’re affecting prices overall,” Logan said at the World Affairs Council of San Antonio. REUTERS
