Julia Stiles Leans Into Red With Asymmetric Ashlyn Dress for ‘Kelly Clarkson Show’
Julia Stiles and stylist Eliza Yerry have been feeling red lately. The actor has been wearing a series of red looks over the past week. She wore the latest for a taping of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” where she was promoting her new film “Wish You Were Here,” which is her directorial debut.

Stiles chose a midi-length red dress for the appearance. It is an asymmetrical style with a V-neck. While one shoulder is a short, cap-sleeve style, the other is long and draped, hanging down to the elbow.
Ashlyn, a New York-based brand, worked with a series of red looks and toyed with symmetry in their spring 2023 line. The look was completed with a gold chain and a pair of red pumps from Marion Parke, a shoe company with designs created by a foot and ankle surgeon. Her rings were from Natasha Schweitzer and Ashaha.

On Feb. 14, Stiles turned up to “SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert” wearing a red suit from Dorothee Schumacher. It included a waistcoat and a pair of pleated trousers. She kept the Marion Parke heels for that.
On Sunday, at “SNL 50: The Anniversary Special,” Stiles chose red but of a deeper hue. She wore a draped Stella McCartney dress at that event. The covered-up design contained a peekaboo cutout at the chest because of the draping, but it wrapped tightly around the torso. It was also floor-length. She wore rings and earrings from Grace Lee.

“Wish You Were Here” is based on the same book. The romance project sees Stiles put her skills of more than two decades as an actor into the director’s chair.
“I think it’s being a passenger on a long car trip for so many hours, and then you finally get your own driver’s license,” she told WWD. “I love acting and I love performing, but I’ve been doing it for 25 years. I’ve been in on those conversations, blocking rehearsals and where to put the camera, and I wanted to be in the driver’s seat.”
