LSpace Looks to ‘2000s Nostalgia and Modern Boho Vibes’ for Its Icons Swimwear Collection

LSpace looks into the past for its new collection: Icons. The swim and resortwear brand, founded in 1999 by Monica Wise, takes inspiration from the popular trends of the early 2000s for a fresh take on swim pieces just ahead of the spring and summer seasons. The collection is available on LSpace’s official website, the brand’s Fashion Island store and select online retailers.

For the Icons collection, LSpace’s creative team delved deep into the archives, styling fresh takes on 2000s swimwear trends. The five-piece collection features four distinct colorways — flame, white, black and café — and integrates boho-inspired elements like fringe for a wholly unique collection with an added nostalgic edge.

“Everyone loves a good comeback moment, and fashion is all about reimagining the past to inspire the future. With the resurgence of 2000s nostalgia and modern boho vibes, it felt like the perfect time to bring fringe back into the spotlight,” Alissa Bristow, LSpace’s vice president of creative and design, told WWD.

“Fringe is playful, eye-catching and full of personality — exactly what people are craving right now. Monica’s original vision for fringe was all about movement — creating a swim piece that felt fun, flirty and effortless. That element is what made it iconic, so we knew we had to keep that spirit alive. To make it feel fresh and modern, we refined the silhouettes, making them sleeker and more elevated while staying true to that signature LSpace energy.”

The collection not only harkens back to the “It” girl style sensibility of the early 2000s, but also merges its throwback approach with an eye toward contemporary swimwear trends.

“I’m incredibly proud of LSpace’s evolution,” said Monica Wise, founder and creative visionary behind the brand.

“What began as a collection of bikinis has grown into something far greater — a brand rooted in confidence, self-expression, and the art of feeling incredible in your own skin. Staying true to our DNA of impeccable fit, quality and design while evolving with our customers has been the most rewarding journey.”

LSpace’s Icons collection ranges in U.S. sizes from XS to XL with price points between $99 to $198.
