Sheer Dresses Are Trending on BAFTAs 2025 Red Carpet With Camila Cabello, Vanessa Williams, Zoe Saldana and More

On recent red carpets, sheer looks are still dominating the most glamorous nights for celebrity. After a strong showing at the Golden Globes as well as the Critics Choice Awards earlier this year, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTAs) fell in line. In London on Sunday, a variety of celebrities turned down the opacity from brands like Chanel, Pamela Rolland and more.

Monica Barbaro

“A Complete Unknown” actress Monica Barbaro wore an Armani Prive gown from spring 2025. That halter design was nude and featured swirls of peach, charcoal and silver crystal embellishment throughout the floor-length tulle silhouette. Stylist Jeanann Williams accessorized the look with Bulgari jewels.

Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana kept up her Saint Laurent streak in a black dress. The knit number was semi-sheer, offering peeks of her skin. Most notably, the piece included a dramatic collar that fanned behind Saldana’s shoulders. She was styled by Petra Flannery.

Camila Cabello

Camila Cabello’s dress was also a halter design. From Sabina Bilenko’s spring 2025 couture collection, it featured a halterneck made of tulle and embellished with shimmering crystals over a silk leotard. The gown featured a train that pooled at Cabello’s feet. She was styled by Katie Qian.

Vanessa Williams

Vanessa Williams was covered up in green in a Pamela Rolland fall 2025 gown. The design featured a high neck with a pussy bow, voluminous silk organza, sheer sleeves and a high-waisted green maxi skirt. She was styled by Vaanita Oakey.

Nico Parker

Nico Parker chose Chanel haute couture. The performer wore a black sheer embellished dress featuring silver and aquamarine crystals. Stylist Rebecca Corbin Murray matched the look with jewelry from the brand as well. Hairstylist Rio Sreedharan slicked Parker’s curly hair back into a bun.
