Sydney Sweeney Channels White Hot Style With Timeless Slingbacks and Stella McCartney Dress for SCAD Savannah Film Festival
Sydney Sweeney continued her designer streak with a Stella McCartney moment at the 2025 SCAD Savannah Film Festival on Monday, making it all-white look as she accented her dress with slingback pumps. She accepted the Spotlight Award at the festival, an occasion which took place just a few days after she attended the premiere of her upcoming film “Christy” wearing a custom pink Miu Miu dress.

For Monday’s occasion, Sweeney modeled one of the trendiest looks in women’s dress shoes, a slingback pump. Crafted in white leather, the silhouette featured a classic triangular toe, a thin slingback strap and a slender heel. The low-cut vamp differentiated itself from the traditional pump aesthetic with an angular square outline.
Styled by Molly Dickson, the simple yet formal footwear aligned with Sweeney’s spring 2026 Stella McCartney look, a form-fitting white minidress with sheer ruched fabric wrapped around a structured corset base with boning and exaggerated hips. The garment went asymmetric with the sheer material wrapped around one shoulder and upper arm, creating a diagonal neckline.

The actress joins a bevy of stars who have embraced slingback pumps lately, with other examples including Vanessa Williams in Ron White and Halle Berry in Gucci. A classic take on the silhouette proved popular at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, as Kim Kardashian, Amal Clooney, Heidi Klum and additional stars modeled the footwear aesthetic in the floating city.

In addition to slingbacks, the white hot shoe trend has been having a moment lately. Kali Uchis opted for white Charles & Keith platform sandals for a Q&A during Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami on Tuesday of last week, and Sarah Paulson embraced the bright, clean look with Prada pumps at the “All’s Fair” London premiere on Wednesday.
