US: Wall St opens mixed after Trump’s tax Bill narrowly clears House test

[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened mixed on Thursday (May 22) after the US House of Representatives passed President Donald Trump’s tax Bill, which is expected to burden the country with trillions in debt, by a razor-thin margin.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 96.8 points, or 0.23 per cent, at the open to 41,763.68.

The S&P 500 fell 3.3 points, or 0.06 per cent, at the open to 5,841.26​, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 15.4 points, or 0.08 per cent, to 18,888.048 at the opening bell. REUTERS
